Okrebel – I get a lot of my gear from LAPolice Gear. Great service and some killer prices on the clearance stuff. Got a $200 pair of black Magnum tactical boots for $30. They were making room for the new styles. Also got a $200 tactical vest for $80.
where do you shop for your gear? online sites? shops? great vids, any tips helpful.
@gurielzeigerman I could not agree with you more. Books are simply reference material. There is nothing like hands on training fore sure.
locke, while books are always a good thing, you have to actually DO what’s in them, not just read about it. I’m combat trained in Krav Maga, and I didn’t get there by reading about it. I would suggest getting some training in an actual class.

wow! ur prepared i wish i could be more like u but im fucking poor..here in the ghetto..i just started my bob 2 months ago and ive spent like 300 350 dollars..check out my bab in my video..coul u possibly tell me what kind of radio i would need to buy off ebay to listen to police and fireman. i live in the city and would like to be able to help out if shtf..i dont know anything about radios but would love to learn..thankx for all ur preparation..we need more like u a whole lot…peace
By the sound of your voice, best preparation you could do would be to lose a whole lot of body fat and put on some muscle.

I got Welco boots desert tan,made for the military in the U.S.A. through sportsman’s guide for about 70.00,its a very good place to get military/Patriot equipment.
DMD in training here. If SHTF you’ll be in demand if you can preform basic dentistry. Good luck and learn some good head and nect anatomy.
wouldn’t waste my money on those Asian-made, glued-together boots…rebuildable w/ stitch-down construction can’t be beat

thanks for the info! my nurse sister sent me some medical grade individually packed influenza masks from her hospital during the swine flu episode. also, during Y2K, I ordered some german gas masks paid around 200 for 3. also some thyroid protection pills in case of nuclear exposure. come to think of it. it might be a good idea to be able to decontaminate yourself from chemical exposure…any ideas on best way to do that?
I wear them every day and have had no issues at all with them. I own about 6 pair myself.
ahh best pack out there was issued that too in 08 its top notch gucci gear but burn the boots man for real they are crap send them back get vibram mine is still great after 15 months and useing them to work in for a year
hey bro take them back man they r crap boots the zipper pops and breaks on them like in 2 weeks of use i know i was issued them and a reg pair aka string tie and them zipper ones will break after 2 weeks of constant moveing
It’s best to break the boots in well ahead of time. Put them on, get them thoroughly wet and then wear them until they are dry. They will shape to your feet. You don’t want them giving you blisters after things go bad. Take it from an old Infantryman.

I had those exact radios back in about 1988. Those are Realistic radios from Radio Shack. That brings back the memories for me. They are good though. When I was a kid, I used to be able to talk to people that were more than a few miles away.
